- With MacPoint 0.98, you can receive private NetMail messages and
- reply to them if sysop has authorized. In future versions, you will
- be able to initiate them also. (Somebody remind me to fix this...)

- Soon it will be possible for any MacPoint user to
- transmit a bit-mapped graphic in an ordinary BBS message.
- Now if there's a "point" you need to make via a graphic
- illustration, it can be done!

- Just ask your sysop to add a line to his batch file that will move
- the incoming packets from his QMX directory to his incoming mail
- directory - the same thing he has to do now for the compressed
- mailbags. Only difference is the name as far as this is concerned!
-
- BTW, try it on my system, I think it should work the way I have it set up.

- I've converted a couple of applications from LSC 3 to 4 recently. I
- haven't started using the new OOPS stuff yet, but from what I can
- see of it in the docs I think that the incorporatiopn of OOPS into
- the Mac programming environment is a natural. OOPS fits the user
- interface paradigm, and the use of OOPS libraries like those
- included in LSC make the creation of applications that use the Mac
- user interface extremely easy.
-
- I don't think that the positive impact of OOPS programming
- technology on the Mac software base can be underestimated.

- NovaLink has gone commercial, so WWIV is the only shareware BBS for the

- I use Q-Echo which comes with QuickBBS. It ain't great but it is all
- I have. Apparently your packet arrived just fine. I take everything
- from QMX's upload directory and drop it in the in comming mail
- directory so the .PKT file is no problem.

- If you want to try to do any more beta testing, etc. with this
- system feel free, additionally, if you want, I can give you your own
- local message area to work with.
-
- Let me know how I can help.
